Provides paralegal support of highly complex, confidential, professional and responsible nature to State Fund General Counsel, staff attorneys, and State Fund management.
DUTIES
Develop, coordinate, evaluate and maintain legal caseload or specialized projects with emphasis in workers' compensation policies (e.g. collection and bankruptcy).Research legal issues manually and through computerized mediums (e.g. Westlaw, Montlaw); analyze, interpret statutes, court decisions, rules and policies; and produce persuasive legal work product.Prepare, organize and draft legal documents for various forums.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Paralegal Studies or a Bachelor's degree in a related field with completion of an ABA approved paralegal program, plus two years paralegal work experience; or Associate Paralegal degree plus four years paralegal work experience (or an equivalent combination of education and experience). Relevant designations and certifications preferred.
