 With the guidance of the Director of Mission Services, the Community Benefit Ministry Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the St James Healthcare community benef!   it initiatives, with the goal of improving the health status of our communities in a measurable way with a particular focus on community-based initiatives. 
 This position facilitates sharing of best practices related to planning, funding and evaluating community benefit program and implements, monitors and coordinates ongoing utilization of Community Benefit Inventory for Social Accountability (CBISA) software program. 
 Maintain current knowledge of community benefit principles and practices to inform/educate SJH leaders of current trends 
 Develop effective relationships with community leaders and residents across diverse interests, cultures and socio-economic backgrounds. 
 Promotes and facilitates community outreach partnership development and collaborative planning 
 Coordinate, with Director of Mission Services, the community benefit reporting at St James Healthcare via CBISA software 
 Coordinate and maintain a quarterly com!   munity benefit report for internal dissemination, and coordina!   te on annual report for broader use internally and externally to ensure accuracy and to monitor for adherence to system standards for calculating social accountability and community benefit expense 
 Participates in the ongoing critical review, assessment and redesign of SJH community benefit plans/projects and initiatives. 
 Collaborate with SJH Communications/Marketing to employ various media to tell the story of SJH Community Benefits 
 Serve as a resource for SJH leaders and related committees on community benefit initiatives and issues 
 Ensure the timely completion of high quality written reports, presentations and other materials in a manner that supports the Mission, Vision, and Values of SJH 
 Assist, coordinate and manage special projects as requested by Director of Mission Services 
 Assists in education of staff, board members and public about CB submission and purpose, to include Mission Bulletin Board posting. 
!    Ensures proper preparation and timely distribution of monthly, quarterly and annual community benefit reports including: 
 Annual Report to the Community 
 Annual data report to the Attorney General 
 Preparation of IRS 990 Form 
 Preparation of Schedule H 
 Reporting of number of lives impacted 
 Maintains commitment to SJH Mission and Core Values in all aspects of employment 
 EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE 
 Bachelors degree in related field, public administration, business administration or library sciences preferred. 
 Masters Degree strongly preferred. 
 Demonstrated experience in community building and community involvement, experience in program planning, implementation and evaluation. 
 Familiarly with Catholic health care and ministry essential. 
 CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS 
 Friends and Family BLS within 6 months of hire
