COMPATIBLE REQUIREMENTS: Selected candidates will be required to be a member of the Montana Army National Guard and in a compatible military grade prior to the effective date of placement. Selectee must be assigned to a compatible military specialty (MOS/AFSC) prior to or within one year of placement. KEY REQUIREMENTS

Must be or be willing to become a member of the Montana Army National Guard DUTIES:
SUMMARY OF DUTIES: If applicantsÂ' desire, a copy of the Position Description (PD) can be obtained from the HRO. A brief statement of duties from PD No. ___ D118P0 _____ . This
position is located in the Recruiting and Retention Branch of the Army National
Guard (ARNG). The purpose of the
position is to serve as program support to the Army Medical Department (AMEDD)
Strength Manager. The mission is to
adhere to the three tenets of the Strength Maintenance Program: recruitment,
retention, ! and attrition of all Health Care, Chaplain, and Staff Judge Advocate
(SJA) professionals within the state.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
BASIC ELIGIBILITY FACTORS: Document prior experience, education, and training relating to the General and Specialized Experience requirements . KNOWLEDGE, SKILL, AND ABILITY (KSAs) are no longer basic eligibility factors, but will be used as rating and ranking factors.

1. Skill in reading and interpreting regulations,
policies, and procedures.

2. Ability to plan, schedule and
organize.

3. Skill in providing technical
guidance on military personnel matters.

4. Skill in maintaining records
and reports.

5. Skill in the use of personal
computers and software; such as Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Excel or Microsoft
Word.

6. Ability to provide guidance
and counse! ling.

7. Knowledge of Army Medical
Department (AMEDD), Mil! itary Chaplain, and Judge Advocate General (JAG)
programs.

8. Knowledge of recruiting and
retention practices.

GENERAL EXPERIENCE :
Applicant must
possess the experience or training which demonstrates knowledge of:

  • The exercise of analytical ability, judgment, discretion, and personal
responsibility;
  • Application
of a substantial body of knowledge of principles, concepts and practices
applicable to one or more fields of administration or management; AND
  • Experience
using computer or automation systems.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:
Applicant must possess 24 months of specialized experience,

education or training in:
  • Administering, delivering, maintaining, advising and adapting basic concepts,
principles, and theories of Human Resources to the unique organizational,
management, and mission requiremen! ts

REQUIREMENTS

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENT : Selectee is subject to attaining and maintaining a security clearance as required by the position.
