Additional Salary Information: The normal annual salary received for employees new to state government is $24,264.00 - $26,960.00 DOQ with raises granted by the legislature. State employees scheduled to work at least halftime are also provided paid health, dental, and life insurance.

APPLICATION AND SELECTION PROCESS: The Department of Natural Resources may include the following factors in determining whether an applicant meets the qualifications for the position: education, structured interview, job-related reference checks, job-related work experience, job-related current and past performance and application supplements.

Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States.

Duties:
This position is responsible for ensuring receipt, compliance auditing, processing, recording and distribution of all mineral rental and royalty payments for state school trust lands. Payments are journaled and recorded in electronic ledger and management system formats. This position is also responsible for maintaining all records related to active oil and gas leases.

Competencies:
Must be competent in basic accounting and auditing principals. Ability to communicate, bot! h verbally and in writing with supervisors, co-workers, attorneys, lessees, other state and federal employees and the general public. Requires a working knowledge of computerized revenue and lease accounting. The nature of the work requires total accuracy in all functions of the position. Must be very competent in detailed work and responsible for establishing priorities.

Education/Experience:
The knowledge, skills, and abilities are typically acquired through a combination of education and experience equivalent to a high school degree, and a minimum of two years experience in general office, accounting related data entry, and document filing, including the use of word processing, spreadsheet, and data management softwares. Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
