With a large hospital campus in Palmerston North, it also provides key health care and support services to neighbouring communities.


The Opportunity

Are you a Second Year House Officer or Senior House Officer looking for new opportunities in general medicine and subspecialties?

MidCentral District, located in Palmerston North City could be the perfect place for you!

Palmerston North Hospital offers a wide range of opportunities in medical runs and actively promotes strong candidates into registrar positions. We have HO/SHO runs available in:

  • Cardiology
  • Renal
  • Geriatric Medicine – subacute including outpatient clinics
  • Haematology
  • Medical Oncology
  • Radiation Oncology
  • Medical Relief

If you are successful in gaining a position, the service will do their best to accommodate the your run preferences.

There are also opportunities to do both an ICU and an Emergency Medicine rotation.
