DESCRIPTION

About the Job
ALTA Language Services seeks a talented individual to join our Testing Department to assist the Testing staff in planning, coordinating testing services, and in developing and implementing procedures, goals and objectives. This is an entry-level, non-exempt position, reporting to the Executive Director of Operations, and requires 40 hours per week.
Responsibilities
  • Schedule language tests over the phone and through emails
  • Provide assistance to candidates and clients.
  • Provide basic information to potential new clients.
  • Listen to recordings for QA.
  • Help with the process of the paper tests.
  • Work with the Testing Managers regarding staffing issues and related concerns for the Testing Department.
  • Ensure a smooth flow of operations, assisting clients and candidates.
  • Connect candidates and evaluators when needed.
  • Troubleshoot issues with the portal for clients and candidates.
  • Perform tests, if needed.
  • Perform other similar duties as required (by responsibility or necessity) or as requested by the Testing staff.

Education/Training
Degree: Bachelor Degree. A combination of education and experience may be substituted for the degree.
Computer Knowledge: Experience with Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Word, and Excel. Course work or experience in computer technology, statistics and test measurements preferred.
Languages: Knowledge of a second language is preferred (Spanish)

Experience
1 year or more of customer service experience.
Salary
Current pay range for the position of Testing Coordinator: from $38,148.00 to $57,222.00 per year. Actual pay depends on several factors, including but not limited to level of education, knowledge, skills, qualifications, certifications, previous experience in similar positions, market pay rates, comparable salaries, demographic factors, geographical location, jobs availability, budget availability, revenue etc.
