Duties:
Medicaid Fraud Control Section is responsible for coordinating and conducting investigations of any crime that occurs in a health care facility, including theft, drug diversion, sexual assault and homicide. The section also i! nvestigates elder exploitation, elder abuse and fraud by providers within the Medicaid system. This may include investigations into doctors, dentists, durable medical equipment companies, mental health providers and other Medicaid providers.
Manage, coordinate, direct, enforce and conduct investigations of a broad range of allegations of felony violations of the Montana Criminal Codes (MCAs); Code of Federal Regulations (CFRs); Administrative Rules of Montana (ARMs) and other crimes by managing and directing the investigative activities of local, state and federal agencies to gather information and evidence needed for successful prosecution, to ensure the safety of the public and law enforcement personnel, and to ensure investigation and enforcement actions comply with applicable state and federal regulations. Investigations include but are not limited to: homicide and other violent crimes, organized crime activity, white collar crime, sex crimes, corruption, offic! ial misconduct, theft, complex financial crimes, insurance and workerâ! s compensation fraud, internal agency investigations, terrorism, and drug trafficking and related narcotics crimes. This work requires knowledge of the concepts and theories of law enforcement, criminal investigation, program planning, and business administration; legislative and administrative rule requirements and processes; state and federal statutes; and Department of Justice rules, policies, and procedures.

Firearmsâ training is mandated for peace officer requirements and liability.
Preference :
A Bachelorâs or Associateâs degree in Political Science, Public Administration, Criminal Justice, Sociology, Psychology or closely related field.
