Duties:
This position is the primary contact for the Attorney Generalâs Office and is responsible for providing information, technical support, and other assistance to agency staff and constituents. Duties include:
Provide a variety of legal information services to agency constituents through personal contact and written correspondence to ensure efficient, appropriate, accurate and timely responses to legal inquiries.
Provide administrative and technical support for the Legal Servic! es Division and other agency work units.
Coordinate, monitor and manage case correspondence, docketing, and document disposition to ensure compliance with legal requirements to maintain a legal record of case activity and documentation. Docketing workflow may come from the Supreme Court, through the mail, fax, or through official service.
Perform a variety of other technical and administrative work as assigned by the supervisor and administrator in support of division and department goals and objectives.

The position requires a thorough knowledge of legal terminology; state and federal court rules, procedures and operations; research techniques and methods; law enforcement agency activities; the general function of state agencies; the orga! nization of the court system; legal documents and procedures for all judicial and administrative proceedings; right to know vs. right to privacy and confidentiality considerations; the Criminal Justice Information Act; Time Matters, office practices and procedures, business English, spelling, composition and grammar; preparation of legal documents, rules of evidence; civil, criminal, and administrative rules, and laws; constitutional rights of individuals (e.g., privacy); negotiation and conflict resolution strategies and techniques.
Education/Experience:
The required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities are typically acquired through a combination of education and experience equivalent to one year of post-secondary education, formal training, and/or certification in legal assistance or paralegal course work, office administration, or related field plus two years of relevant experience such as administrative or legal support.
