R&D Scientist
We are looking for an experienced and motivated R&D Scientist to develop antibodies for the in vitro diagnostics industry. Work includes versatile and interesting tasks related to cultivation of hybridoma and CHO cells and development of antibodies in our Immunodiagnostic Reagents R&D team in Espoo. The position is a one-year fixed-term replacement for parental leave.
Your main responsibilities and tasks will be:
Leading and participating in monoclonal IVD antibody development projects from immunization design to product launch. Steps include i.a.
- Immunization design
- Cell fusion (hybridoma) and cell line development (CHO and hybridoma)
- Expression/ production (CHO and hybridoma)
- Purification
- Antibody characterization and stability determination
Instructing laboratory personnel in all steps during the development process (in Finnish)
Reporting the project progress
Participating in customer communication, generation of marketing materials etc. related to R&D projects
Experience and skills appreciated:
MSc or PhD degree in Biotechnology, Biochemistry, or related disciplines
Expertise in antibody development projects or parts of it
Ability and will to learn
Curiosity and problem-solving skills
Excellent written and verbal skills in Finnish and in English
Knowledge of quality system, e.g. ISO 13485
Excellent teamwork skills
