The City of Bozeman, MT is seeking a full-time Prosecutor to join the team! As part of the City Attorney’s Office, this position provides a broad range of prosecution services related to criminal matters, participates in civil code enforcement, and performs additional related work as required.

Wage/Salary: $76,775 - $84,368 per year depending upon experience and qualifications
Bargaining Unit: N/A
Fair Labor Standards Act Status: Exempt
Work Week: Generally 8:00 a.m. â€" 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday; additional or varying hours may be required including evenings and weekends due to the nature of the position.

MINIMUM EDU CATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school;
- At least one year criminal prosecution experience.
REQUIRED SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS
- License to practice law in the State of Montana and membership in good standing with the Montana Bar Association at the time of hire. Must maintain eligibility to practice law by completing minimal annual continuing legal education requirements.
- Excellent computing skills including familiarity with a wide variety of software applications such as MS Office and other specialized applications such as databases, time management software, etc.
- Valid Montana driver’s license and ability to travel between multiple work sites.
- Offers for employment conditional upon satisfactory completion of appropriate post conditional offer process.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience with domestic violence prosecution.
